Polyurethane pipe coatings

Thick layer fast setting Two component polyurethane coatings applied mainly for the insulation of exterior surfaces of main pipelines, fittings and armature immersed in fresh (Im-1, according to ISO 12944-2) or sea water (Im-2), and also buried in soil (Im-3).

Coatings of Welepipe series refer to materials based on polyurethane with 100% dry residue, which proven themselves as the most perfect insulation coating of known polymeric liquid anticorrosive compositions for protection of underground and underwater steel and reinforced concrete structures.

By isolating and anticorrosive properties, adhesion and impact resistance, cathodic disbonding and other indicators, coatings based on polyurethane composition Welepipe meet the requirements of standards EN 10290, State Standard 51164 and State Standard 4219, which define conditions as for polyurethane exterior coatings applied in a liquid state and for protection of pipelines against corrosion.

Main advantages

Can be applied both in the factory and in the field conditions.
Can be applied with a thickness up to 3 mm in one technological cycle without slipping, streaks and other coating defects.
When applying by spraying the material is quickly cured (10 minutes at T = 23°C), which allows storing pipes almost immediately after application of coating.
Have high adhesion, both to steel (>18 MPa), and to concrete (>3.5 MPa – concrete destruction) surfaces and can be applied without bonding primers.
Have a high impact strength (>20 J) and abrasion resistance (100-130 mg loss of weight in 1000 cycles – 1 kg of load – wheel H-17).

is a thick layer, solvent free polyurethane coating applied by airless spraying with separate supply of warmed components.

WG-Welepipe HT

is a thick layer, solvent free polyurethane coating resistant to the heat up to 80°C, applied by airless spraying with separate supply of preheated components.
